At TOP, we believe that healthy families build healthy communities. Our team serves the community with great compassion and enthusiasm, utilizing a strengths-based, holistic approach. Because of the work of our team, TOP serves 20,000 individuals through 20+ programs each year in West Alabama.

JUVENILE PROGRAM COORDINATOR

TOP is hiring someone with a social service background to provide case management and support to youth.  Position involves case management with families and youth and will include home visits and client assessments. Must possess a bachelor’s degree in the field of criminal justice, social work, human and child development, counseling, or a related field. Experience with juveniles, previous law enforcement experience, court system and/or data analysis preferred.

CHAMPS COORDINATOR

Position open for CHAMPS program coordinator to provide holistic services to participants in our program by providing comprehensive case management, employee skill assessments, resume building and job interview preparation. Position includes working with community partners to provide employment and direct resources to clients. Workforce development experience a plus. Bachelor’s degree in social services field required.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COACH

We have an open position for a workforce development coach.  In this position, you would coordinate services to train, direct, and motivate participants and maintain effective working relationships with community partners. Preferred experience in career/job placement or an employment and training program, recruitment, developing job search plan and/or retention services. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, education, or a related field required.

SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK

TOP is seeking experienced Social Workers. Duties include providing interventions, social and emotional support, and case management services to children and families in a school setting. Minimum of Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field is preferred. Preference given to candidates with current Alabama Social Work license. AMERICORPS MEMBER

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve in your community?  AmeriCorps members serving at Tuscaloosa's One Place instruct students in after school programs, teach healthy relationship classes, and work in community events.  Members also work TOP to help make a difference locally.  A monthly living allowance is given each month and upon completion of service term an education award is given.  Applicants must complete TOP application below and email with resume to ktibbetts@tuscaloosaoneplace.org.

INTERNSHIPS

TOP is looking for interns interested in learning about the social service field.  Interns should expect to learn all TOP programs, and upon successful completion of their internship, will be prepared to enter any social service position with excellent skills.  Applicants should have strong communication skills and should be majoring in social work, psychology, human and child development, counseling, sociology or related field.  Interns should have strong writing skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  Internships are unpaid placements.
