SOCIAL WORKERS
Tuscaloosa’s One Place, Family Resource Center is seeking skilled and/or experienced social workers to work in the Tuscaloosa County School Social Work Program. The ultimate goal is to provide services to student groups and their families to assist in removing and improving barriers to academic success. In this role, you will work collaboratively with local, school-level personnel and provide support services to students and their families - this can include brief individual counseling for students, group work and classroom visits, crisis intervention, advocacy and case management, resource referral, and community collaboration, and so much more! It is an exciting and meaningful opportunity to support students and their families in reaching their greatest potential. A minimum of Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work is required. Preference is given to candidates with current Alabama Social Work license. INTERNSHIPS
TOP is looking for interns interested in learning about the social service field. Interns should expect to learn all TOP programs, and upon successful completion of their internship, will be prepared to enter any social service position with excellent skills. Applicants should have strong communication skills and should be majoring in social work, psychology, human and child development, counseling, sociology, or a related field.
