TOGETHER WE ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We strive to be the one place families can come to get connected with programs or services that will meet their needs and help their family.

TOP empowers families to achieve their full potential by providing resources to promote self-sufficiency, strengthening families, and preventing child abuse and neglect to improve the quality of life for all members of our community.

OUR STORY

Strengthening West Alabama Families Since 1999

In 1999, Tuscaloosa’s One Place was born from a series of conversations geared at addressing families in poverty in our community.  Three task forces formed and focused on the following identified needs:  improving pre-K readiness, child advocacy, and building self-sufficiency.

Through a budding network of community partners, grants, corporate and individual contributions built over the last 24 years, TOP has grown to offer over 20 different programs.

Everything we do at TOP is holistically guided to address critical family needs within our community.  Our team works to continually assess the ongoing needs within the community and create innovative solutions to meet that need.
